Fort Worth Zoo

We went to the Fort Worth Zoo after Addison's appointment with Dr. Hubli. It was a great day to visit--overcast, cool, not too busy (maybe due to the swine flu) and 1/2 price day!!! I really wanted to see termites because I have been obsessed with them because I thought we had them in our house last week (turns out we have fire ants living in our walls which is quite lovely). Addison really liked the primate exhibit.

Addison is signing elephant

Addison's favorite activity was sitting in the Wells Fargo carriage.

If you ever want to teach your kids about manure, the Ft. Worth Zoo is a must for a fun, hands-on interactive of the process. See the pictures below . . .

First you take a ball and put it in the trough for the cows to eatThen you turn the crank to move it up the silo
And then the back end of the cow poops out the manure. Kids can have hours and hours of fun learning this process at the Ft. Worth Zoo!

Putting on makeup. Addison has her fake smile working really well now!!

More Arboretum

We had weeklong visits from both grandmas this month, which meant two more trips to the Dallas Arboretum. I absolutely love the place, so I was not complaining about the extra visits--it kind of reminds me of Michigan because there are hills, trees, no fire ants and nice grass.

Cheesy smile!

Music Class

Addison's music class celebrated its last day with a family day. The tots got to show off their music skills to grandparents and parents. Henry and Grandma L. joined us for the class and the following buffet.Bubbles are the best way to end class!Shaking our shakers.

Arboretum

On Tuesdays during the spring, the Arboretum has events for toddlers. We went with some friends yesterday and while it was a little cold in the morning, we had a great time! Addison's favorite part was the petting zoo, but we also got to color, go to a Kindermusik class, make crafts, and play on interesting sculptures.

Easter Party

We had an Easter Party for one of my playgroups last weekend. Addison certainly got her parent's competitive nature, because she was an egg hunting fool! I think she may have been an Easter Egg piggie because her bag had more eggs in it than her friend's bags.
