Gym Dandies

Here are some pictures from Gym Dandies. These pictures were all taken in the first 15 minutes and should give you an idea of how busy Addison is during the class. I did not get pictures from parachute time or music time (mainly because I am too busy holding a parachute or making sure Addison does not run with drum sticks in her mouth).

Hats Hats Hats

Addison is fascinated with trying to dress herself but only has the coordination to put on "hats". She likes to put shorts, shirts, underwear and actual hats on her head all day long.

Addison and her favorite baby were both wearing hats in this picture. Addison is also trying to feed her baby a snack.

Timeout

We've started "time outs" around here by putting Addison in the corner. She seems to be getting a hold of the concept by still looks so cute sitting in the corner and I had to get some pictures.

Birthday Parties

Addison got invited to two birthday parties on one day. I can't believe that my social schedule now revolves a one year old's birthday party circuit! We had a great time and it was a great way to pass the time on a very rainy Hurricane Ike day. Our first party was for Noah, who celebrated his second birthday at Chuck E Cheese. I had a great time, the pizza was surprisingly good and we discovered that Addison loves the mechanical singing Chuck E Cheese but is quite leery of the dressed up human version of Chuck E.

Our second party was for Seth and Skylar, who were celebrating their fifth and fourth birthdays. Seth and Skylar's parents had to make some last minute changes to the party due to the rain but they managed to get a bouncehouse inside of our church. Addison is not a fan of bounce houses yet but was willing to give it a very short try . . .
Addison took a turn at the pinata and gave it a little tap.

Fisher Price House Party

I was selected to host a Fisher Price House Party at my house. They sent me four awesome toys to demo at a playgroup as well as 10 small toys to give to my guests. Everyone's favorite toy was the Learn & Spin Pony.

Addison loves to sit in my friend Leah's lap. This makes her son Matthew jealous and somehow Leah gets stuck with holding two babies.Logan takes a spin on the pony. He was a pro and I'm thinking he will be on the professional pony riding circuit soon.

Visit from Grandparents

Henry's parents evacuated to Dallas for Hurricane Gustav (okay, not really because they were already planning to coming). If you are curious about Hurricane Ike--their house held up fine--although there was fence damage. They had power to the house very quickly. Nothing very dramatic happened to us in Dallas, BUT my sister who lives in Columbus, OH was out of power for six days due to the wind from Ike!!!

Grandpa spoiled Addison by buying her a balloon at the mall
They watched Addison while Henry and I went on a much needed date. They took her to a nearby park to feed the ducks--which she loved. Ducks, birds, cats and dogs are some of her favorite things.

Trip To Michigan

Addison and I flew to Michigan to catch up with family and all of the new cousins. Addison got to meet Julia and Quint for the first time. We had a great time and the plane trips were not as bad as they have been in the past . . .
