Cake and Presents

With some creative help from my sister-in-law and the internet, I decided to make Addison's cakes. It was a polka-dot themed party so I made polka dot cakes. Addison did not dig into the cake and start eating like a wild woman. The only way she would taste the cake was by eating it off her fork and spoon.

Addison loves all her new toys but is especially fond of her new pink chair and baby doll.

Birthday Fun

It looks to me that Addison is trying to get Brook to agree to a mischievous birthday plan. The last picture makes it look like Addison is a bit guilty!

Boating

We took Addison on the boat for the first time. She loved going fast and feeling the wind in her hair (lol . . . since she still does not have any hair). She was not a fan of the bulky life jacket. It's a lot of work to take a baby on the boat and I don't know if we will be doing it anytime soon.

Playtime

Some of Addison's favorite activities are unrolling toilet paper, pulling all of the Tupperware out of the cabinets and pulling books off her her bookshelves. She also LOVE hats! She is always asking us to put a hat on her head.

Swimming

Addison and I were invited to join some friends at their neighborhood pool. She really liked the shallow end of the kiddie pool and floating in the "big" pool in an inflatable crab. She was a little more weary of the water when I took her out of the crab and held her in the pool. She was okay with it as long and she could hold on very tight to my arm. She got to wear her new bikini and her ear plugs stayed in really well (gotta protect those ear tubes).

Learning about Indian Culture

Addison and I attended a playgroup hosted by a friend who grew up in Texas, Germany and India called "Seven Little Indian Girls". She taught us about Indian culture and then all of the little girls got to play. She gave us all bindi sticks for our foreheads.

Random Play

I don't think that little girls really need itty bitty bikinis but I saw this bikini at a neighbor's garage sale and decided that I really need it. Addison loves baths and is brave enough to stick her head in the water and blow bubbles so I think she will love it when we actually get in a swimming pool.

I also took Addison to a park and she loved the swing. In the past, she has been less than enthusiastic about swinging but she loved it at the park when she got to sit in the gigantic swing.
